I started a new job six months ago, and it is making me really very happy. I work with wonderful people for a disability rights charity based in London, and I work remotely from home in Manchester.
I had forgotten how rewarding it can be to work for people you like, I am not saying I did not enjoy being freelance I liked my clients, but it is so nice having real work colleagues who have a similar goal as me, to make the charity the best it can be. It is also good working for a charity that really does go out of its way to accommodate its staff’s needs, we all work flexibly and we all look out for each other.
It is also good knowing that I have people’s backs as much as they have mine.
