When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you do not wish this information to be available please do not leave a comment, also if you wish previous comments to be removed please contact me. If you post a picture in your comment please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) in them.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. I do use a anti spam plug-in called Akismet you can see their notification on the comments form.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
When someone visits half.co.uk I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. I do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. I do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my website.
Not strictly a WordPress plugin, but Google Analytics records anonymised data and stores cookies in your users browsers. My understanding of GDPR compliance for Google Analytics is that the data is anonymised (although IP addresses are used to track geographical data, they are not stored after being converted to a geo-location).
